How time passes so quickly and it is once again Letter Month. This year we are encouraging folks to give suggestions about WGOJ and what it means to you. Every listener is very important and we read every letter.
Please take the time to give us your comments about WGOJ and it’s programs. For instance, we will consider whether or not Pastor’s Corner is worthy of the labor to produce five days a week or should it be cut back to maybe once a week or even totally dropped from the programming. This is the kind of information needed from your letter to help the committee make decisions for the upcoming year’s programming.
You can be a part of this by giving your thoughts and feelings concerning WGOJ. Use the enclosed form and share about the programs, schedule times, reception in your area etc.
WGOJ BROADCASTING FOR 32 YEARS
February 23, 2011 WGOJ will complete 32 years of Broadcasting the Wonderful Grace of Jesus throughout Northeastern Ohio, Northwestern Pennsylvania, and Southern Ontario Canada.God has truly blessed over the years and we have seen His hand upon this ministry. All we can say is, all praise and glory goes to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
RECIPE FROM WGOJ
Creamy Strawberry Angel Cake: 1 Angel Food Cake Mix1 Cup Boiling Water
1 Pkg. 3 oz. Strawberry Jello
1/2 Cup Cold Water
1 Pint Strawberries, Sliced
1 Container 18 oz. Whipped Topping Thawed
Prepare cake mix according to package. Cool. Pour boiling water on Jello in large bowl. Stir until dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate about 1 hour until thickened but not set. Fold in strawberries and half the whipped topping. Refrigerate about 15 minutes until thickened but not set. Split cake horizontally, to make three layers. Fill layers with Jello mix. Spread remaining whipped topping over top. Garnish with strawberries
MESSAGE FROM PASTOR’S CORNER
Bill Brown has answered the call to the ministry by accepting the pastorate at a church in California. His last day with us will be January 28, 2011.We will be honoring Bill and his dear wife, Marilyn, with a special Soup and Sandwich Fellowship. This Fellowship will be held after the evening service on January 30th in the South Ridge Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. We appreciate the years of faithful service he has given to the ministry of WGOJ and wish him and Marilyn God’s best in their new ministry.
Mr. John Toth will be joining the WGOJ staff and taking up the reigns for Bill Brown. John has worked in radio and comes to WGOJ with a wealth of experience. We will be interviewing John on Pastor’s Corner.
WGOJ APPRECIATES OUR LISTENING FAMILY!
At South Ridge Christian Academy each year, one week is set aside in February for Appreciation Week. We encourage the students to write notes and letters to family and friends, expressing appreciation for things they have done, allowing them to know how much they love and appreciate them. Maybe you would like to encourage your family to do the same. It is good to show our appreciation to others.Please know that we love our WGOJ Listening Family and appreciate you very, very much. Through your prayers and financial support God has kept this ministry going these many years.
GOD'S PLAN FOR SALVATION
1. All have sinned.“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Rom. 3:23).
2. There is a payment for sin.
“For the wages of sin is death;…” (Rom. 6:23).
3.The finality of death is hell.
“And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death” (Rev. 2:14).
4. Jesus Christ, God’s Son, paid our debt.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Rom. 5:8).
5. You can be saved today.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom. 10:13).
