WGOJ Shar-a-thon

WGOJ is a non-profit and listener supported Christian radio station. WGOJ holds its annual, three-day Shar-a-thon each November to help raise support for the coming year.

We broadcast the Shar-a-thon live from the Gymnasium of South Ridge Christian Academy. The Academy is located at 924 Center Road in Conneaut, Ohio.

We invite our listening family to come and see the Shar-a-thon being broadcast live. Come see behind the scenes and experience the fun and fellowship. Join with us in prayer, come for spaghetti, bid on a basket and share your support. We would certainly enjoy getting to meet you!

Thursday:  Day of Prayer

Be sure to listen all three days of the Shar-a-thon. We begin with the most important day, the Day of Prayer on Thursday. Join us in laying a strong foundation for the Shar-a-thon by spending this day with us in prayer asking the Lord for His wisdom, guidance, direction and provision.

Friday and Saturday:  Financial Support

On Friday and Saturday, we ask for financial supporters for the ministry. Any financial gifts great or small will go towards helping to proclaim the Wonderful Grace Of Jesus to our listeners.

You may want to give a one-time gift or be a monthly supporter. Please go to the Donate to WGOJ page and fill out the form or call the Shar-a-thon number with your contribution.

So what else do we have available during the Shar-a-thon?

We're glad you asked! The Shar-a-thon hosts a variety of opportunities for you to be active in supporting WGOJ, even activities that you may already do like eating and Christmas shopping. Check out the activities below and consider the many ways that you can help WGOJ during the Shar-a-thon!

Spaghetti Supper

Every year, WGOJ hosts a spaghetti dinner on Friday evening. The meal includes spaghetti, salad, a roll, desert and drink. Adult tickets are $7.00 and children's tickets are $4.00.

The Spaghetti Supper runs from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please plan on enjoying your dinner with us!

Gift Baskets

Another exciting event during the Shar-a-thon is the basket auction. And anyone can donate a basket to be auctioned. Most of the baskets are created by hand and come in a variety of themes which vary from year to year.

A basket can be yours for the suggested donation on Thursday and Friday or for the highest bid on Saturday.

Baked Goods

Want some homemade baked goods to take home after your visit? Check out our bake sale on Friday. We have a variety of baked goods ranging from cookies and pies to cakes, breads, brownies, pastries and more!

Anything left after Friday night will be available Saturday for a donation. Baked goods make great gifts for any occasion, so why not stop by and pick some up!

Gift Table

The Shar-a-thon is also a great opportunity to pick up some nice gifts for that special someone and help out WGOJ at the same time. Visit the gift table for books, music CDs, DVDs, pamphlets, decorations, cards, collectible dolls, Precious Moments and so much more.

Family Hour

After enjoying your spaghetti dinner, come join us in the sanctuary of South Ridge Baptist Church for some live music performed by local talent.

There will be singing, choirs, a hand chime choir and various instrumental music. You're welcome to sit in on this time and enjoy the live performances.
